CREATIVE DIRECTION.
The project explored a modern neo-western visual language built around clean typography, negative space, distressed textures, and subtle western-inspired detailing. The goal was to create a system that felt cinematic, rugged, and timeless while still translating cleanly across a modern arena environment.
"Having known Brock since his tenure in the WHL, and seeing his collective creative work over that time and with OEG, we were eager to use his creative vision to elevate our in-venue experience. Digital venue signage is only as useful as the content that's on it, and this is where we stand out from the rest. A cinematic opening presentation (edit and videography by Prospector Visuals) built around the Rebels’ neo-western seasonal identity, combining atmospheric finishing FX, distressed textures, dramatic typography, and supporting LED visuals to create a cohesive pre-show arena experience across the full venue system.

GOAL GIFS + SOCIAL.
A social extension of the Rebels’ in-venue presentation system, adapting player ID and matchup templates into flexible motion assets for Instagram Stories, goal GIFs, and real-time social content. Built to maintain a cohesive visual identity across both the arena experience and digital platforms.
THEME NIGHTS.
For the three Rebels' theme nights in 25-26, we focused on creating visually distinct identities while maintaining cohesion within the Rebels’ broader presentation system. Western Night leaned into dusty cinematic textures and vintage prairie atmosphere, the Holiday look introduced warm Christmas lighting and snowfall elements, while Retro Night embraced bold 80s-inspired vaporwave aesthetics, neon gradients, and nostalgic arcade energy.
TOOL KIT.
The Rebels package was built around scalable motion systems designed to work seamlessly across multiple LED displays and game presentation moments throughout the season. Custom typography treatments, western-inspired textures, layered matte systems, atmospheric overlays, and modular animation behaviors were developed to create a cohesive toolkit that balanced minimalism with raw visual energy. Additionally, custom Western 3D backgrounds built using bump-mapped shaders were a key design element.
